SF Shock Welcomes Shu

Shaurav "shu" Ghosh started playing Overwatch in closed beta while in college for mechanical engineering. As a player, Shu played on a number of different teams during the early stages of Overwatch - most notably Prestige Worldwide and Rockets Esports, where he won Open Division Season 1. With Contenders Season 1 around the corner, Shu made the switch to coaching and joined NRG Esports as an assistant coach alongside former teammate Yehhh, and current Shock coach, Ninek. Ghosh decided to step down from NRG to focus on finishing his degree, but made a return for Contenders Season 2, where he coached Young and Beautiful in EU Contenders alongside Marvin "Promise" Schröder.

Shu will be joining the San Francisco Shock as an analyst for the 2019 season of OWL. We are excited to utilize his past experience as both a player and coach and value his analytical approach to the game. Outside of playing and coaching, Shu has been heavily involved with the Professional Overwatch community for over 2 years and is always looking to do his part to help the scene progress.
